I think this artwork is true to life because everything is very realistic. The artist makes things look like someone who is wealthy is going to a formal party in the olden days.
I am confused is it a painting or drawing etc. or is it a photo? I see this person as a respected and wealthy English man. The shadow and the details made me think that it was a photograph. I like this work of art (or picture;).
If I had made this work of art, I would have named it "Colonial Fancy Clothing." Men's Suit is a reasonable name, but "Colonial Fancy Clothing" seems more descriptive to me.
This "fasionabl(y dated)e" is true to life because colonial men would actually wear it.
This piece of art reminds me and looks like a very wealthy man in the colonail times. He also looks like he could be a kings man in one of his best suits. I think that piece of art is very true to life, because of all of the fine details such as the little gold swils at the edge of his clothes. I'm also not quite sure if this piece of art is a sculpture or painting.
I'm not sure if I like this piece of art, but I do appreciate it. Personally, it looks sort of funny, but I can tell that he was a respected man with a lot of authority. The story I see is a man posing for someone to draw a portrait of him. The sour look on his face was because he got there, he posed, then the person drawing decided that they didn't like what he was wearing, after he just went out and spent his entire life's savings on a suit that no one liked.
In this piece of art a story isn't necessarily told. But I see a man of authority walking in a battle field to his troops. ANdrew had mentioned that he could go to a party in the olden days. I agree with that. It could go with many different stories.
This is an extremely realistic piece of art. The artist has tried to recreate clothing from 1760, and is trying to recreate this suit with as much detail as possible. I think the person in the art is saying," I'm powerful. I'm wealthy. Get in my way and I'll crush you like a bug."

It looks like a colonial time drawing. It "said", "I'm a person that is in polotics." That's my perspective. I'm not sure I totally like the painting.

This piece of art looks like a colonist from the 1700/1800 century. It is very realistic.
