In this piece I see a head that does not look very happy. It is a grey face that has cracks in it. I like this piece of art because it has the type of design I lik. Kind of odd with different features.
This very angry head reminds me of the Greek mythological Gorgon (monster-woman) Medusa. This piece of art could have been a man who looked directly at Medusa's face.
I think the piece shows anger and fear, as if knowing Medusa was after him.
This sculpture expresses depression. He looks like he just lost a family member and nothing is going how he planned. I would probably call it "Depression," for reasons already expressed. I think this art is very interesting, because the creator expresses that bad things can happen, and you can live through them if you try.
If I had to rename this statue, I would call it " The Angry God" It makes more sense than " Collosal Head 5", because though the tital describes the head, my title describees it better It looks as if a god is angry at someone or something. heappears to be glaring downward, which makes me think he is glaring at us from a place in a sky
In "Colossal Head 5" the only thing I can picture is an angry man who is depressed and headed off to the war. I can imagine the scene of this man all dressed properly and bidding an unwanted farewell to his family. This piece caught my eye because of its detailed features that give the person who sees it only one message that is: this man is not very happy at all. It is quite hard for me to determine whether or not I like this piece because it is very interesting to look at, although when I do see it I am reminded of times in life when I am mad or unhappy with someone.
This piece reminds me of a warrior in battle. The angry head looks as if he was defending a city from an attacker, or the other way around. The face has cracks in it which shows it is very old. This piece shows anger and the hardships of life and if you work hard you can get through them.
