In this picture I see a person with a lot of flowers tied around him. There are two women squating next to him, one with a baby. I think what is going on is that the women are praying to the man with the flowersfor something.
Ilike this picture because it reminds me of a picture from a book I read in I think 2nd grade. I also like this because the flower are beautiful and the colors suit the picture.
When I saw this piece of art,my emotions are happy. I think it is because of all of the bright colors.I have to say this was my favorite painting in the museum because of the colors.
The story I think this art tells is one like the mythologies told in Native american tribes. The native americans mostly (as I have gathered while reading about them) told stories about people who have a problem so they go to a god and ask them for help. It seems as if the two women are asking the flower-god-person for help, like someone is sick and they require his magic to heal them. They also seem to have brought an offering, like maybe the flower-god-person had set them a task to retrieve whatever that plant is and to return it to him.
I don't know what is but it seems that people think this painting makes them happy. To me it seems gloomy to me, not mad but definitely not happy. It cought my eye because of the bright colors so I had to comment!
I enjoyed this painting not only because I get a warm and friendly feeling when I see it, but I know how the artist made this out of respect for his culture. I can connect to this painting from having a piece of artwork by Diego Rivera in my house, and seeing other of his "pictures" in books. I do know what it's like to sit around in a circle and listen to something interesting and that makes ME happy, so I am inferring that this would be a happy site, too. To end, I don't know what exactly the flowers represent although from the sharp features of the people I think it is something important to their lives.Possibly religious stories. (I don't what makes me think that, but it's what comes to mind.)

In this painting I believe the story line is that the Mexican's are praying to god in thanks for the years harvest.
In this piece of art, I see lots of triangles. I also see the colors of the mexican flag.
I like this piece of art because I love the fact that this artist expressed how proud he was of his heritage through this painting.
In this picture I see rectangles and triangles. I like this work of art because the artist made it look like you were part of the family.
