Prepping for LACMA on October 2

What is this? a stela for someone named Iuf-er-bak
When was it created? during the reign of King Amenhotep III in the mid-18th Dynasty
1391-1353 BC
What is a stela? a flat slab of stone with a commemorative purpose.
Style: "carved in sunk relief"
What's that mean? the details are carved in sunken areas in different levels.

Your response:
What objects help you remember your ancestors and family?
Do any of these objects serve a purpose beyond helping you remember?
Make a list of people who are most important in your life; create a portrait in the Egyptian style and include the names of each individual above his or her head.

coffins

If I had to take something along with me to the afterlife, I would definetly be responsible with the matter. I would be sure to pack plenty of foods and provisions. As for the stuff for my pleasure, I would take a few peices of jewlry, a few books, and photos of my friends and family.
